Animator Max Fleischer is best known for his Betty Boop, Koko the Clown and the Popeye cartoons.  Where Disney's short films were striving for more artistic, even cultured status, Fleischer's films were knockabout, anarchistic, almost nightmarish in their style.  This 1933 short, Stoopnocracy, is certainly no exception.  Mainly animated, it also blends live-action footage of Stoopnagle and Budd with the cartoon characters, making for one of Fleischer's oddest films.

Thanks to the wonders of YouTube, you can view this hard-to-find curio below.  The quality isn't top drawer, but it'll certainly give you an idea of the kind of lunacy you get when combining Stoopnagle with the father of Betty Boop!
